Texas is one of the 12 states for which Tommy Thompson and his two daughters, Michelle Rideout and Melanie Gentle, have captured the essence of small town America. They have produced composite drawings of the Texas towns of Belton, Corsicana, Ennis, Georgetown, Greenville, Hillsboro, Jacksonville, Marshall, Mount Pleasant, Terrell, Texarkana, and Waco. Thompson enjoyed visiting several Texas towns and meeting many interesting people, even some of his relatives. While traveling through Texas, Thompson visited the Catfish Plantation in Waxahachie, which is rumored to be haunted. At one time his great aunt owned that building and lived there with her son, Paul Richards of professional baseball fame.
